Edward Biberman & Christopher Knight

from LA Times Blog

Dr. Mark Steven Greenfield recently stopped by the gallery with a brochure from his latest exhibit, “Edward Biberman Revisited.” I missed the show and I feel like a sham for not having made it.

Biberman is a part of the Modernist movement in Southern California - a movement to which I have devoted my collecting energies, my reading, and much of the exhibition schedule at Sullivan Goss.

Despite having missed the show, I was delighted to find that the Great and Powerful Christopher Knight™® got by to see it. What’s better: he liked the show. Sure, he impugned the motives of the gallerist who facilitated the exhibition, but he still said nice things about the work. I am sure that this kindly review disappointed his many readers, who seem to enjoy his skewering style of critique.

  1. FYI, a film about Edward Biberman’s life, “BRUSH WITH LIFE: The Art of Being Edward Biberman” just came out on DVD.

It’s now available at the Organa Boutique.
